At WalkInWardrobes.ie, we specialize in creating tailored storage solutions that address the unique needs of each space. This project was a prime example of our ability to work within tight constraints and turn a challenging space into an incredibly functional and stylish wardrobe.
To meet the client’s requirements, we opted for a 2-door sliding wardrobe design. Sliding doors were an ideal choice for this room, as they saved space by eliminating the need for door clearance when opening and closing. This is particularly important in bedrooms where space can be limited. We ensured that the sliding doors were perfectly aligned with the light switch, making sure they did not interfere with the switch’s operation, and maintaining the integrity of the room’s design.
The interior of the wardrobe was carefully designed to maximize storage capacity while maintaining an open and organized layout. On one side of the wardrobe, we included long hanging space, which is perfect for storing dresses, coats, or suits. This section was made deep enough to comfortably accommodate hanging items, while also leaving enough space for easy access to clothes.
On the opposite side, we incorporated shelving and drawers to provide storage for folded clothes, accessories, or smaller items. The drawers were designed to be spacious, allowing the client to store everything from jeans to sweaters to shoes. We also included two shoe racks within the wardrobe, strategically placed at the bottom to offer easy access to footwear without crowding the space. The trouser rack was another key element, designed to keep trousers organized and wrinkle-free, further enhancing the wardrobe’s functionality.
The wardrobe design was also tailored to provide a balance between open and closed storage. The shelves in the center were left open to give easy access to frequently used items, while the drawers and hanging space were enclosed to maintain a tidy and organized look. This combination helped to maintain the streamlined aesthetic the client was after.
The sliding doors were finished in pure white glass with a mirror panel running vertically. The use of glass gave the wardrobe a sleek and modern look, while the mirrored panel added a touch of elegance and helped reflect light, making the room feel brighter and more spacious. The Evoke White frame was chosen to encase the doors, adding a touch of sophistication without overpowering the design. The Evoke frame has a clean, minimalist style that seamlessly integrates into the overall look, giving the wardrobe a high-end feel.
The overall design of the wardrobe was intended to be elegant, functional, and space-efficient, with careful attention given to every detail. The sliding mechanism of the doors was smooth and effortless, ensuring that the wardrobe would open and close with ease. We used high-quality hardware to ensure durability and reliability, so the wardrobe would stand the test of time.
The light, bright finishes – including the pure white glass doors, white interior, and Evoke White frame – helped create a clean and contemporary feel in the room. White is a timeless choice for wardrobes, as it complements a variety of color schemes and adds brightness to the space, making it feel larger and more open. The mirrored element of the sliding doors also helped enhance this sense of space by reflecting light around the room.
