At WalkInWardrobes.ie, we pride ourselves on our ability to transform spaces, no matter how small or unconventional, into functional and aesthetically pleasing rooms. This box room presented us with the perfect opportunity to showcase our expertise in custom storage solutions.
The solution we designed was a fully tailored walk-in wardrobe that made the most of the available space while offering a high level of functionality. Our goal was to create a wardrobe that felt spacious, despite the room’s size, while also incorporating distinct zones for different storage needs. We created a layout that maximized every inch of space, using a combination of hanging areas, drawers, and shelves.
To start, we included a long hanging section for the clients’ longer items, such as dresses, coats, and trousers. This feature allowed the clients to store these garments neatly without having to worry about them getting wrinkled or damaged. Beneath the long hanging section, we added two shoe drawers at the bottom. These drawers were designed to accommodate a range of shoes, from boots to sandals, while keeping them organized and out of sight, maintaining the sleek, clean aesthetic of the wardrobe.
The middle section of the wardrobe featured a shelf stack that acted as the perfect storage solution for folded clothes, bags, and other accessories. This central area provided the perfect balance of open storage, offering easy access to clothing while keeping everything neatly arranged. The shelf stack created additional space for items that didn’t need to be hung up, such as sweaters, t-shirts, or scarves. This layout provided a functional yet visually appealing approach to organizing the wardrobe.
On the opposite side of the walk-in wardrobe, we included ten drawers that were ideally suited for smaller items, such as jewelry, scarves, and underwear. These drawers not only helped maintain order and organization within the wardrobe, but they also allowed the clients to easily access their belongings. With the inclusion of both short hanging sections and drawers, the wardrobe catered to the clients’ need for versatile storage options.
Additionally, the wardrobe was designed with a clear flow and accessibility in mind. The layout allowed the clients to move through the space with ease, accessing all sections of the wardrobe without difficulty. With strategically placed storage elements, the design maximized the usable space without making the room feel crowded or cramped. We also incorporated an open design to avoid bulky, closed storage that could make the room feel smaller.
The all-white finish of the wardrobe added to the sense of openness and light within the room. White is a perfect choice for small spaces because it reflects light, making the room feel more expansive and airy. It also provided a clean, timeless look that complemented the clients’ existing decor. The minimalistic color scheme contributed to a sleek and modern aesthetic, making the walk-in wardrobe feel both sophisticated and contemporary.
Another design element we focused on was lighting. Since box rooms are often smaller and lack natural light, we incorporated soft LED strip lighting along the shelves and inside the drawers. This not only illuminated the space but also added a touch of luxury, making the wardrobe feel more welcoming and functional. The lighting made it easier for the clients to find their clothing, even in a room that had limited natural light. It also helped enhance the overall look of the wardrobe, adding depth and creating an inviting atmosphere.
To ensure durability and longevity, we used only the highest quality materials. Each section of the wardrobe was crafted with precision and attention to detail, ensuring that it was both aesthetically pleasing and built to last. The interior of the wardrobe was designed to meet the specific needs of the clients, with a focus on maximizing storage capacity while maintaining a polished, cohesive look.
