At Walk In Wardrobes, we specialize in transforming spaces with bespoke wardrobe solutions. For this project, we were able to design a beautiful, highly functional 3-door sliding wardrobe that perfectly maximized the room’s space. By blending efficient use of storage with a sleek, modern design, we delivered a wardrobe that was both aesthetically pleasing and extremely practical for the client’s needs.
Maximizing Space:
The key focus of this design was maximizing the available space while keeping the wardrobe feeling open and airy. To achieve this, we created a wall-to-wall wardrobe with no wasted space. The three sliding doors ensured that the wardrobe would be easy to access without requiring additional clearance in the room, making it an ideal solution for this particular space. The sliding doors also provided a sleek, minimalist look, enhancing the modern aesthetic of the room.
Storage Solutions:
The wardrobe was designed with versatility in mind, featuring a carefully planned mix of drawers, reclining clothes lifts, and hanging space. These elements were incorporated to suit the client’s storage needs, making it easy for them to store and access different types of clothing and accessories.
- Drawers: The client specifically requested a set of drawers with soft-close runners, ensuring a smooth, silent operation. We incorporated simple cup handles, giving the drawers a clean, minimalist look that matched the overall design theme. These drawers provided ample storage for smaller clothing items, accessories, and personal belongings. The soft-close function added an extra touch of luxury, ensuring that the drawers were not only easy to open and close but also quieter and more durable.
- Reclining Clothes Lifts: We added reclining clothes lifts to the wardrobe, providing the client with an easy way to access long hanging garments such as dresses and coats. These lifts can be adjusted, making it easier for the client to retrieve items stored at higher levels, ensuring they didn’t need to stretch or reach uncomfortably. This feature maximized the functionality of the wardrobe, particularly in areas where space was limited.
- Short Hanging: In addition to the long-hanging areas, we included short hanging sections for shorter garments like shirts, blouses, and jackets. This provided the client with an organized and efficient way to store these items, making them easy to access while keeping everything neatly arranged.
Design and Materials:
In terms of design, the client opted for a modern and understated look that would complement the room’s interior. The sliding doors were crafted from a combination of grey metal glass, which added a touch of sophistication to the wardrobe, and mirror accents, which helped to visually enlarge the space and reflect light around the room. The Evoke Silver frame added a sleek finishing touch, giving the wardrobe a polished, contemporary feel.
The grey tones of the metal glass paired beautifully with the light color scheme of the room, contributing to a harmonious, cohesive look. The interior of the wardrobe was finished in a clean, neutral tone using white interior panels. The light grey timber surround was chosen to complement the wardrobe’s modern exterior while adding a touch of warmth and texture.
