Requirements / The Challenge:

This project involved creating a bespoke, wall-to-wall sliding wardrobe for a client in Shanagolden, Co. Limerick. The challenge was to design a storage solution that maximized the available space while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic. The client required an extensive amount of storage, as their bedroom needed to accommodate a wide range of clothing, accessories, and personal items.

The key challenge was to fit a wardrobe system into the full width of the room without making it feel bulky or overwhelming. The client desired a wardrobe that offered both style and ample storage but didn’t want the room to feel closed off or cramped. The space was large, but the client wanted the wardrobe to appear as a seamless part of the room, integrating with the other furniture and room decor.

Additionally, the client wanted a wardrobe with a combination of drawers, hanging space, and smart storage solutions to optimize the space for different items. The sliding mechanism was essential in this design to ensure that the wardrobe didn’t take up extra room when opened, allowing easy access to the entire storage area without obstructing the flow of the room.

The wardrobe’s aesthetic was just as important as its functionality, and the client wanted it to be a striking feature of the room without overwhelming the space. They chose to use high-quality materials and a refined finish that would reflect light and contribute to the room’s overall bright, airy feel.

Our Solution / Project Description:

At Walk In Wardrobes, we specialize in creating tailored storage solutions that combine exceptional design with unmatched functionality. This project was no exception, as we worked closely with the client to ensure that every aspect of the wardrobe would meet their specific needs.

We created a stunning, wall-to-wall 3-door sliding wardrobe designed to make the most of the room’s dimensions. The wardrobe was split into three sections, each offering a unique set of features to cater to the client’s needs. The sliding doors were designed to offer both practicality and elegance, using a combination of pearl white glass and mirror panels with a decorative strip, all framed in our exclusive Evoke Champagne Frame. The light-reflective properties of the glass and mirror helped to brighten up the room, making the space feel larger while adding an element of luxury.

The internal design of the wardrobe was meticulously planned to provide an impressive amount of storage without compromising on style. The wardrobe features:

We ensured that the wardrobe had a logical internal layout, combining long hanging spaces for coats and dresses, shelving for shoes and folded clothes, and additional compartments for accessories. This carefully planned interior design allows for a tidy, organized wardrobe that is easy to maintain.

The sliding doors not only serve a functional purpose, but they also contribute to the wardrobe’s luxurious feel.
