Requirements / The Challenge:

This project in Quin, County Clare, presented a unique set of challenges. Our client had an extensive shoe collection, and she wanted the wardrobe to serve as a stunning focal point in the room, with a particular emphasis on showcasing her prized footwear. The wardrobe needed to blend both style and function, offering ample storage and easy access to her shoes while also adding a touch of luxury to the room. The client’s vision was clear: she wanted the wardrobe to not only serve as a practical storage solution but also act as a striking design feature that elevated the room’s overall aesthetic.

In addition to the shoe storage, our client also wanted the wardrobe to accommodate her television. The space was not just for clothing and accessories—it needed to integrate the TV, offering a versatile area for both storage and entertainment.

A key element in achieving the desired “wow factor” was incorporating gold handles on the drawer fronts. The gold accents would add a touch of sophistication and elegance, tying in with the room’s existing décor and giving the wardrobe a timeless, upscale feel. Balancing both luxury and practicality was crucial in this project, as our client wanted a wardrobe that was both functional and beautiful.

Our challenge was to design a wardrobe that maximized the use of space while delivering on the aesthetic desires of the client. The wardrobe needed to fit seamlessly into the room, creating a stylish, organized space for both clothing and the TV, all while emphasizing the client’s beloved shoe collection.

Our Solution / Project Description:

At WalkInWardrobes.ie, we pride ourselves on creating bespoke, high-end wardrobe solutions that are tailored to the unique needs and desires of our clients. For this particular project, we worked closely with the client to design a wardrobe that would not only provide storage for her extensive shoe collection but also incorporate her television in a way that felt cohesive and stylish. Our goal was to design a wardrobe that would make a statement while also providing all the necessary functionality.

Maximizing Shoe Storage

The most important aspect of this project was creating a wardrobe that would showcase the client’s shoe collection. We dedicated a significant portion of the wardrobe to shoe racks that were designed specifically to accommodate the various styles and sizes of shoes, ensuring that each pair would be easily accessible and well-organized. We designed adjustable shelving that could be customized to suit different types of footwear, from high heels to boots to sneakers, giving the client flexibility and easy access to her entire collection.

In addition to the shoe racks, we also included three reclining clothes lifts, which were positioned to offer convenient storage for items that didn’t require hanging. The lifts were incorporated into the design to offer extra functionality and organization without compromising on the wardrobe’s sleek look. These lifts allowed the client to store garments such as seasonal items, extra bedding, or accessories, ensuring that everything could be hidden away neatly but still easily accessed when needed.

Elegant Design Features

The wardrobe’s design was both luxurious and minimalist, with an emphasis on clean lines and functional spaces. To elevate the look and give it a touch of class, we used pearl white and mirror for the wardrobe doors. The pearl white finish provided a light, sophisticated backdrop, while the mirror panels added a touch of elegance and reflected light, helping to make the room feel larger and more open.

To further enhance the wardrobe’s design and add a unique touch, we incorporated a decorative stripe along the doors. This subtle yet striking feature gave the wardrobe a more personalized look, setting it apart from a standard design and infusing it with a bit of character. The Evoke champagne frame around the doors completed the look, giving the wardrobe a refined, timeless appearance. The soft champagne hue of the frame contrasted beautifully with the white and mirror finishes, adding a layer of warmth and elegance.

The integration of the TV space was also a key aspect of this design. We carefully planned the wardrobe layout to create a space for the television that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The TV was neatly positioned within the wardrobe’s design, maintaining a clean and cohesive look without detracting from the overall beauty of the space. This design allowed for the TV to be part of the room’s storage solution, while still being easily accessible for viewing.

Functionality and Organization

In terms of functionality, the wardrobe was divided into several sections to ensure that the client had a place for everything. The large shoe racks were the focal point of the wardrobe, but we also incorporated plenty of drawer space for smaller items like scarves, jewelry, and accessories. The gold handles on the drawers added a touch of opulence and tied in with the client’s desire for a wardrobe that exuded sophistication.

The three reclining clothes lifts were integrated into the upper section of the wardrobe, where they could be used to store garments that needed to be easily accessible but did not require frequent use. The lifts were designed for smooth operation, making it easy for the client to access her stored items without any hassle. This clever use of vertical space allowed us to maximize storage without creating a bulky, overwhelming design.

Every detail of the wardrobe was considered with both aesthetics and functionality in mind. The result was a space that was organized, stylish, and tailored to the client’s specific needs.

White Interior

The white interior of the wardrobe was chosen for its timeless elegance and its ability to create a bright, airy feel inside the space. White is a classic choice for wardrobe interiors because it helps to enhance the room’s sense of openness, making the wardrobe feel spacious and clean. The light color also provides a neutral background that allows the wardrobe’s contents to stand out, from the shoes to the clothing stored inside. The white interior also created a seamless transition between the wardrobe and the rest of the room, contributing to the overall minimalist design of the space.

Ivory Surround and Frame

To complement the white interior and maintain the sophisticated, warm look the client desired, we used ivory for the surrounding frame and sections of the wardrobe. The soft, neutral tone of ivory added warmth and richness to the wardrobe design without overwhelming the space. This color also contrasted beautifully with the pearlescent white of the doors and the champagne frame, creating a balanced, harmonious look.

The Evoke champagne frame, used around the wardrobe doors, brought together all the elements of the design, providing a refined, luxurious finish. The subtle, metallic sheen of the champagne frame added a touch of elegance and class, giving the wardrobe a high-end, custom feel that perfectly matched the client’s vision.
