At WalkInWardrobes.ie, we are passionate about designing custom wardrobes that reflect the unique needs and style of each client. For this project, we created a bespoke 5-door sliding wardrobe that not only met the practical storage needs but also added a level of sophistication to the room. Our design focused on maximizing space, integrating functional storage, and incorporating unique elements such as a dedicated entertainment area.
5-Door Sliding Wardrobe
The centerpiece of this wardrobe solution was a wall-to-wall 5-door sliding wardrobe, designed to make the most of the available space while maintaining a sleek and modern aesthetic. With five sliding doors, the wardrobe seamlessly blends into the room’s design, offering ample storage without overcrowding the space. The sliding door system was an ideal choice for this room as it helped maximize the available floor area and reduced the need for clearance space that traditional swinging doors would require.
The five full mirror doors were a standout feature of the wardrobe. Mirrors not only create a luxurious, polished look but also serve a functional purpose by reflecting natural light, which helps brighten the room and make it appear more spacious. By using full-length mirrors across the five doors, we created a sense of openness and flow, visually expanding the room and enhancing its overall lightness. The Evoke Silver frame surrounding the mirrors added a sleek, contemporary finish, perfectly matching the modern design of the room.
Customized Middle Unit for Entertainment
One of the unique aspects of this project was the client’s request for a TV and gaming station to be incorporated into the wardrobe system. This presented an exciting design challenge that we were happy to take on. We customized the middle unit of the wardrobe to accommodate the client’s entertainment system, providing a neat and organized solution for the TV, gaming console, and other tech accessories.
The middle section was thoughtfully designed with cable management systems, ensuring that wires and cords were hidden and neatly organized. We also included additional shelving within this section for game storage, remote controls, and other items related to the entertainment system. By integrating this technology into the wardrobe, we not only kept the room looking tidy but also created a practical and stylish solution for the client’s needs.
Storage Features: Hanging, Shelving, and Drawers
A major priority for the client was ensuring the wardrobe provided ample storage for both his and hers clothing. To accomplish this, we designed a flexible and organized layout that featured a mix of hanging spaces, shelving, and soft-closing drawers. This ensured that the client could store a variety of clothing items, from formal attire to everyday wear, while keeping everything organized and accessible.
Hanging Space: We included two dedicated hanging areas—one for shorter garments such as shirts and jackets and another for longer items like dresses and coats. The hanging areas were designed to accommodate various garment lengths, with adjustable hanging rods to meet the client’s needs.
Shelving: Additional shelving units were added to store shoes, accessories, or folded clothes, maximizing the vertical space in the wardrobe. The shelves were adjustable, allowing the client to customize the space depending on their storage needs.
Soft-Closing Drawers: The wardrobe was also equipped with four spacious drawers, each featuring soft-closing mechanisms. These drawers provided a convenient space to store smaller items like scarves, accessories, and underwear. The soft-close functionality ensures that the drawers close gently and quietly, maintaining the elegant and polished feel of the wardrobe.
To further enhance the functionality of the wardrobe, we included a reclining clothes lift, making it easier for the client to access clothes stored on higher rods without needing to use a step stool or ladder. This added feature made the wardrobe both practical and user-friendly, allowing easy access to every garment, regardless of height.
Evoke Silver Frame and Full Mirror Doors
To tie the entire design together, the wardrobe was finished with a beautifully polished Evoke Silver frame surrounding the full-length mirrors. This sleek silver frame added a touch of luxury and modern sophistication, creating a wardrobe that felt both stylish and timeless. The full mirror doors not only enhanced the wardrobe’s appearance but also served the practical purpose of providing a full-length mirror, perfect for getting dressed and checking outfits.
